Fate/Zero (フェイト/ゼロ, Feito/Zero)
is a prequel to TYPE-MOON's visual novel Fate/stay night. It is a novel written by Gen Urobuchi with illustrations by Takashi Takeuchi. The first volume was released on December 12, 2006, and is a collaboration between TYPE-MOON and fellow developer Nitro+. The second volume was released on March 31, 2007. The third volume was released on July 27, 2007. The fourth and final volume was released on December 29, 2007, along with the Fate/Zero Original Image Soundtrack "Return to Zero". Four sets of Drama CDs were released from 2008 to 2010. From 2011 to 2012, an anime adaption of the series was produced by ufotable.

Fate/Zero takes place 10 years prior to the events of Fate/stay night, detailing the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City. Originally founded by the Einzbern, Tohsaka, and Matou families, the war involves seven Masters and seven Servants under seven classes: Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin and Berserker.

After being defeated in three successive wars for the Holy Grail, the Einzbern family is determined to win the next one at any cost and elects to hire the notorious Magus Killer, Kiritsugu Emiya, to become their representative in spite of his reputation as an unconventional and ruthless hitman. For the next eight years, he prepares the war in the Einzbern stronghold while unexpectedly forming a family with Irisviel von Einzbern, who is to become the vessel for the Grail, and their daughter, Illyasviel. However, Kiritsugu must contend with six formidable opponents, all participating in the war for their own reasons.

From one of the three founding families, the magus Tokiomi Tohsaka wants to achieve Akasha through the Holy Grail, receiving support from the priest Risei Kotomine and his son, Kirei Kotomine, who is also unexpectedly a master in the war. Unlike Tokiomi, Kirei has no direction in life and soon sets his sights on Kiritsugu as an answer to the frustrating lack of meaning in his life.

Meanwhile, Kariya Matou becomes a Master after learning Tokiomi's younger daughter, Sakura, was adopted into the Matou family. In hopes of saving her from suffering at the hands of Zouken Matou, he agrees to win the Holy Grail in exchange for her freedom to return to her family.

After learning of the war and taken by arrogance, Clock Tower magus and lecturer Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi decides to join the battle to increase his own prominence within the Mage's Association. However, his dismissive attitude towards the radical theories of his student, Waver Velvet, drives the young man to steal Lord El-Melloi's artifact and participate in the war in order to force the Mage's Association to recognize his genius.

When a seventh magus fails to answer the Grail's call, a serial killer named Ryuunosuke Uryuu is chosen to become the final Master in the war. Seeking exciting new ways of killing people, he winds up summoning a Servant from an occult book and proceeds to commit as many unusual murders as he can with the help of his Servant.

As the war begins, only one will emerge victorious.

Characters:

Irisviel von Einzbern

Like many of the Einzberns, she is skilled in alchemy. Irisviel serves as Saber's proxy Master, since Kiritsugu believes that he and Saber are incompatible.

Kirei Kotomine (言峰綺礼, Kotomine Kirei)
Master of Assassin, works for Tokiomi and does everything he is asked to do to the best of his ability, but lacks fulfillment, which he sees mirrored in Kiritsugu, for whom he feels a compulsive hatred.

Tokiomi Tohsaka (遠坂時臣, Tōsaka Tokiomi)
Father of Rin Tohsaka and Sakura Matou, Master of Archer, arrogant and manipulative, arranges for Kotomine Kirei to be his "pupil". Thinks highly of Kotomine and has him serve him.

Aoi Tohsaka (遠坂葵, Tōsaka Aoi)
Mother of Rin Tohsaka and Sakura Matou. Childhood friend of Kariya Matou. Though she is devastated by Tokiomi's decision to adopt away Sakura, she quietly accepts the decision as the wife of a mage.

Waver Velvet
Master of Rider, the future Lord El-Melloi II. Steals his teacher's artifact and uses it to summon Rider. Plans to use the Grail to force the Magus Association to recognize his genius. Despite his difficulties with Rider's overbearing nature, Waver and his Servant form a strong and sincere relationship.

Maiya Hisau (久宇舞弥, Hisau Maiya)
Assistant to Kiritsugu Emiya. She is cold and professional, which makes it easier for Kiritsugu to act as he needs to. Armed with a Steyr AUG.

Kariya Matou (間桐雁夜, Matō Kariya)
Uncle of Shinji Matou, Master of Berserker, makes a deal with Zouken Matou that he will win the Grail War in exchange for Sakura Matou's freedom. He is the only member of Matou family who truly loves Sakura, and is upset that Tokiomi allowed his younger daughter to be adopted by Zouken.

Ryuunosuke Uryuu (雨生龍之介, Uryū Ryūnosuke)
Master of Caster, psychotic killer who summons Caster after murdering a family and using their blood as a component in the summoning ritual. He does not seek the Holy Grail, but follows Caster in order to find new thrilling ways to murder people and relieve his boredom.

Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi
Master of Lancer, a nobleman from the Magus Association. His artifact is stolen by Waver Velvet, but he manages to summon Lancer anyway. While he holds the command spells for Lancer, the energy to materialize the Servant is maintained by Sola-Ui. He is confident in his abilities and takes pride in his heritage, but finds the extent of Kiritsugu's unorthodox and underhanded tactics both offensive and unexpectedly challenging to overcome.

Sola-Ui Nuada-Re Sophia-Ri The daughter of the head of the spiritual evocation division. She is engaged to Kayneth as a result of a strategic marriage arrangement and the decision of her family to entrust their crest to her brother instead. However, she is coldhearted and does not reciprocate Kayneth's love for her; instead, she becomes infatuated with Lancer, who in turn does not reciprocate her feelings and regards her only as his Master's wife.

Risei Kotomine (言峰璃正, Kotomine Risei?)
Kirei Kotomine's 80 year old father, a priest in the Church, the regulator of the 4th Holy Grail War. He is a friend of Tohsaka Tokiomi and actively supports him. While he is proud of his son, who has demonstrated himself to be a perfect heir, Risei fails to understand Kirei in any sense.

ServantsServants participating in the Fourth Holy Grail War and their true identities include the following.

Saber
King Arthur, the same character from Fate/stay night. Known as the King of Knights, she maintains a high code of honour. Though she and Kiritsugu are Servant and Master seeking the same ultimate goal of peace, their differing ideological perspectives result in a strained relationship where Kiritsugu does not directly acknowledge Saber.

ArcherGilgamesh,
a rogue servant in Fate/stay night, the King of Heroes. He dislikes the presence of Saber and Iskander in particular since they were kings like he was. Much to Tokiomi's displeasure, Gilgamesh has difficulty acting covertly, especially when his considerable pride is wounded.

Lancer Diarmuid Ua Duibhne,
a Servant with two Noble Phantasms: Gae Buidhe - Golden Rose of Mortality and Gae Dearg - Crimson Rose of Exorcism, which can counter Saber and Berserker's abilities. As a knight, he holds a strong sense of honour in battle and loyalty to his master. He and Saber develop a mutual respect for one another, which is not mirrored by their Masters.

RiderIskander
(Alexander the Great), the King of Conquerors, who desires to defeat Saber and Lancer in particular. Has several Noble Phantasms, the first of which is Gordius Wheel - Wheel of Heaven's Authority, which summons an ox-drawn chariot when Iskander slices the air with his sword. His eccentric and overbearing personality along with his incredible abilities creates difficulties for his Master and their opponents.

Caster Bluebeard
(Gilles de Rais), a Servant who derives pleasure from first providing his victims a moment of relief before terrorizing them and then killing them. Expresses an interest in Saber because he has mistaken her for Jeanne d'Arc, with whom Bluebeard has an infatuation.

BerserkerLancelot du Lac
(previously known as the Black Knight), a Servant who possesses the ability to use practically any object as a Noble Phantasm, allowing him to match Gilgamesh in combat. His madness has reduced him to a mindless, though dangerously skilled, fighter. Despite his insanity, he is still able to instinctively recognize Saber.

Assassin
The Assassins related to True Assassin from Fate/stay night; Assassin is actually composed of several entities rather than just one. They act as reconnaissance agents for Tokiomi and Kirei after Gilgamesh "kills" one of them.

The story of Pupa is about two teenagers, Utsutsu and his little sister Yume. Their father was always beating their mom, but, after getting tired of that, he started to beat them. Some time later, their parents divorced. Their mother began dating another man, (who was younger than their father), and their father just went away. So, the two kids became orphans, and Utsutsu promised himself that he would always protect Yume.

One day when the siblings were going home from their high school, they had an ominous encounter with their father. Utsutsu told Yume to go home alone while he and the father talked. After the "talk", (argument), Utsutsu was warned by Maria about shiny red butterflies that spread the Pupa virus, which turns every creature that moves into a monster.

While Yume was on her way home through the park, she saw a red butterfly that Maria warned Utsutsu about. And a dog, that was infected with Pupa virus, mutated. Because Yume looked at the butterfly, she also got infected, which turned her into a flesh-eating monster. Utsutsu was also infected by the virus, but did not transform, having acquired fast regeneration and a cure. So, he had to sacrifice himself to fulfill Yume's hunger for flesh and to heal her.

After being infected by the Pupa virus, Utsutsu gains the ability to heal his wounds and regenerate lost limbs. Thus, he acts as a living food source to satisfy his sister's hunger for flesh after she was infected by the virus. Although depicted as warm and somewhat outgoing, he has a tendency to turn sadistic going on a murderous rampage out of frustration, much like his father.

Yume Hasegawa (長谷川 夢 Hasegawa Yume)
                                            Voiced by: Ibuki Kid.

Utsutsu's innocent and sweet younger sister and a victim of the Pupa virus. She loves her brother and always looks up to him. If she is famished, a hideous monstrosity emerges from her body like a butterfly emerging from its pupa. Much to her horror, this proceeds to eat anything made of flesh, including humans.

She gave Utsutsu a drug that temporarily suppresses his sister's rampage in exchange for them being examined.

A kind and friendly girl who cares a lot for her friends. Tamako is oblivious to love and romantic feelings from others so that is why she's never had a first love. She wants everyone to have a big smile on their face and make them have a mouthful of mochi, like how she feeds Dela. History
Tamako is a first-year in high school whose family runs a mochi shop in their town's shopping district called Tama-ya. She enjoys her high school life and the baton club with her friends Kanna and Midori. She helps her family run the shop and invent new kinds of mochi. Tamako is nervous about public speaking, and has problems swimming. Tamako is shown to be rather slow in catching up with things, particularly regarding people's feelings. She is one of the few characters that does not know Mochizō has a crush on her, and she fails to pick up on her sister's crush. Tamako feeds Dera mochi on a regular basis, and she feeds him too much for his size, making him bloated and unable to fly properly.

Relationships
Potential candidate for Prince Mechya Mochimazzi's bride; mainly because of the mole on her neck, a marking that all princesses in the Mochimazzi family have, according to Choi. The prince later reveals that Tamako is not his bride. She is Mochizou's childhood friend, and they are close. However, she is oblivious to his romantic feelings for her.

Under the dress, she wears a white plain, long-sleeved shirt. She has green, knee-height socks and black shoes. Her ribbon, tied around her neck, is red.

Relationships
Midori is a very good friend of Tamako and Kanna, particulairy Tamako who she was seen helping learn to swim. She is also very protective of her, initially telling Mochizuo not to confess his feelings to Tamako. Whether this is because she has feelings for Tamako, or just because she's an overprotective friend is yet to be confirmed.
Her relationship with Mochizuo started out tense, but eventually cooled off after their inital arguement, even allowing Mochizuo to confess his feelings to Tamako if he wanted to; an offer which he ultimately declines.

K-ON! (けいおん!)
is the anime adaption of the same-called manga by Kakifly, which was produced by Kyoto Animation and aired in Japan between 2009 and 2010 in two seasons. The anime became a world-wide success and allowed the franchise to gain much more depth by highlighting facts that the manga did or could not do. The anime also introduced real music, partly based on lyrics from the manga but mostly entirely new composition. The music from the anime contains several "Original Soundtracks", "Character Image Songs" for most individual characters and several musical productions by the main band, Ho-Kago Tea Time.

K-ON!’s ,
Story revolves around five Japanese high school girls who join their school’s Light Music Club. The show follows the daily lives of each member and shows their interactions with each other, their teachers, friends and families. At first, despite being successful in saving the club from being disbanded, each member brings in her own sorts of problems to prevent a strict and structured training. The guitarist Yui Hirasawa has no experience in playing musical instruments or reading sheet music and usually forgets already managed progresses, be it in her musical or academic career. Drummer Ritsu Tainaka often forgets to fulfill her responsibilities as the club's president and usually rushes at the drums. The bassist Mio Akiyama is, in contrast to her Ritsu's hyperactive nature, a shy scaredy-cat with immense stage fright. The keyboardist Tsumugi Kotobuki has, as the overprotected daughter of an unimaginably rich and influential family, no real idea of "normal" social situations. At the beginning of their second year of high school, a fifth member joins the club, an underclassman named Azusa Nakano who also plays guitar and usually struggles with the irresponsibility and carelessness of the other members. During their shared school career, all of them eventually manage to handle their problems together, making the light music club a more serious club bit by bit. Every day, the club gathers together to drink tea and eat snacks in the clubroom, which quickly becomes the club's trademark and finally leads to the band's name, "Ho-Kago Tea
Time" (Afterschool Tea Time).

Main Chara:
Meet YUI HIRASAWA,
She  is one of the main characters of the series K-ON!. She is the air-headed lead guitarist and vocalist of the Light Music Club

Always looking for fun, Yui is fearless; anxiety and stage fright are unknown to her. She likes everything cute and makes a lot of physical contact like holding hands or hugging. She also loves everything sweet (that's why Ritsu gave her a Alias "Lazy Fairy"). Sweets that Mugi brings are Yui's power source. Her physical constitution is such that she does not gain weight no matter how much she eats. She can't stand being hot or cold, so she spends the winter under the kotatsu (a knee-height table with an electric foot-warmer installed inside on the top board, which is used with a coverlet during winter)[1] and rolls around on the floor in the summer in front of the fan, to keep cool.[2] Her grades are always on the verge of failing except for the fine arts in which she is exceeding; sometimes she is the only person in her class who needs to retake a test[3], other times she manages to avoid failing all of her subjects by a one point margin. She has an average figure. Yui lives in a family of four with her younger sister Ui and both parents. Her parents are a "lovey-dovey" couple[4] and often go on trips together, leaving both daughters behind. Main character, lead guitarist, lead vocalist. Having misunderstood that "light music" equals to "easy music" (like whistling), she joined the Light Music Club and picked up guitar with absolutely no prior experience.[5] She cannot do more than one thing at a time, but to make up for that she can be highly focused on a particular subject and once started, can advance quite substantially. However, whenever she learns something, she forgets something else.[6] Yui is the type of person who doesn't read manuals and relies on her own intuition and self-taught approaches. She also does not remember any of the musical terminology. She possesses perfect pitch and is musically gifted. She is able to tune her guitar without a tuner[7], but she does not appear to make the best of her ability. Yui is relatively determined and competitive, but at the same time she feels comfortable depending on the help of a few good people like Ui, Nodoka, Mio and Azusa.
.
APPEARANCE
Yui is a teenager of below average height of 5'1", with brown eyes and thick medium brown hair at shoulder length, often accessorized mostly with two yellow pins.

Meet Mio Akiyama
She is the mature but scaredy-cat-bassist, and second vocalist of the Light Music Club and Ho-Kago Tea Time.
Her voice provider is Yōko Hikasa (Japanese) and Cristina Valenzuela (English).
Mio is the bass player of the Light Music Club; even though she acts mature, calm, and collected most of the time, she freaks out from things she's afraid of, or are gross or pertain to gore. Because of her extreme shyness, she chose bass over the more conspicuous guitar. She is so delicate that merely imagining herself being the center of attention almost makes her faint, but still plays bass quite well. Although, she is not altogether uninterested in joining a band outside school, the time spent with the Light Music Club members is the time she enjoys the most, so she has completely devoted herself to the club. During the school festival performance in the fall of her first high school year she acted as lead vocalist instead of Yui, who had lost her voice. At the time it seemed like Mio might have overcome her stage fright, but after the performance ended, she tripped over a cord and fell, exposing her panties, and was traumatized anew.
Appearance
Mio stands at 5'3", being the tallest in the group and has straight, long, black hair and gray-blue eyes. As shown in episode 4 of season 1, she is also quite a bit more busty than the others (except Mugi), much to Yui and Ritsu's dismay, and later Azusa's as well.
Attires
Pants over skirts. In summertime, she likes to wear sleeveless clothes, such as tank tops.

Meet Ritsu Tainaka
She is the self-appointed president of the Light Music Club, and the drummer of the band Ho-kago Tea Time. She was the one who reformed the Light Music Club when it was on the verge of being disbanded, and has become the natural leader of the club since then.

Ritsu is the source of fun and encouragement of her band, often making jokes, puns or pranks and being sarcastic most of the time. She has an ambiguous yet upbeat personality, but has often troubles remembering important club activities and announcements. Because of that, she constantly gets whacked by her childhood friend Mio Akiyama. Despite her forgetfulness, she usually brainstorms for ideas to earn more money or for the club's success in general (like blackmailing Sawako Yamanaka to become the club's supervisor). Her attitude of collecting as much money as possible lets her sometimes appear greedy, something she greatly dislikes. Ritsu is always on the go and will stop at nothing for the success of the Light Music Club, even when everyone else gives up.br />br /> Ritsu is very barefaced, sometimes audacious or even impudent, yet she never has any ill minds and usually apologizes the moment after she went too far. On the other hand, she can't stop annoying everybody around her whenever the chance appears. Because of that, she has developed a certain endurance against Mio's hits.

From time to time, Ritsu has been a very lazy character as well. When it comes to practicing, she only thinks of having fun with her bandmates (such as having tea breaks that almost drove Azusa Nakano away). During training camps, Ritsu usually votes to play first the moment they arrive and is often supported by Yui Hirasawa. She is usually too lazy to study and often needs Mio's help (because of that, she actually scores good marks). In very few occasions, when the pressure is too high, she tends to give up and needs the help of her friends to continue.[4] When she becomes determined however, she can get her work done in no time. Such determination can be seen on her goal towards Budōkan or attending her university of choice so she can study with the rest of her friends together. She also loves playing her drums despite being hardly willed to practice.
Ritsu has a liking for the band The Who and admires the drummer Keith Moon, although she dislikes his various past rampages. When it comes to music, Ritsu prefers rock. She also likes metal or punk, as long as it has a good beat, it's alright.
Ritsu is very athletic and has by far the best condition of all members of the Light Music Club. Physical Education is the only subject she is naturally good at.

Ritsu has a strong sense of confidence from an unknown source, although her confidence has often lead to the club's despair, such as when losing their way in the middle of Kyōto.[7] A trademark of her is the habit of putting both arms at the back of her head. She is also very curious and therefore knowledgeable of many places to have fun at, a fact her friend Tsumugi Kotobuki admires. Tsumugi also described her as the type of person who walks the extra mile for her friends and who would be really popular among girls if she would be a boy (leading Ritsu to hit her out of embarrassment).

Meet Azusa Nakano

She is a student at Sakuragaoka High School. She decided to join the Light Music Club after seeing the band's performance in the school festival and thus became Ho-kago Tea Time's rhythm guitarist. After the original Light Music Club members graduated, she re-founded the club and became its new president, as well as the main guitarist and main vocalist of her new band, Wakaba Girls.

Azusa is a self-proclaimed novice guitarist who has been playing the guitar ever since the fourth grade because her parents are playing in a jazz band.[1] Despite her low self-esteem and modest attitude, she is extremely talented and superior to her senior Yui (who also plays guitar) in many ways.

Since she expected the Light Music Club to be a serious club with ambitious members, she is often disappointed by the laziness around her. Shortly after joining, her disappointment let her went as far as having a rage attack or searching for other bands to join.[2] Getting stimulated by her senior Mio Akiyama however removed her last doubts and she joined the club for real, although she still often nags about the club's low activities. When doing so, she can be quite cynical and judgmental.

ver the time, she slowly became used to the club's slow pace and often gets teased because of it. She has a certain weakness for sweets and can be calmed down rather easily, sometimes just from being petted. Every now and then, she is shocked about how quick she got used to the club's laziness and tries to change it.

Azusa is easily overwhelmed by good musical performances, seen when she watches the Light Music Club's concert or Sawako Yamanaka's performance speechlessly.[4][5] She also gets a tan very easily, seen twice during a trip to the beach and also once during a music festival (even after applying sunscreen). The manga shows that she tans in mere seconds. She often suffers under the aftermaths, like not being able to take a bath due to the sunburn, not being recognized by friends due to her drastic change in appearance or needing to hide the tan lines by wearing a longer skirt at school.

Meet Tsumugi Kotobuki
otherwise known as Mugi, is a wealthy, cheery cute girl with a gentle personality who plays the keyboard in the Light Music Club. She was originally going to join the choir club, but after Ritsu Tainaka's false flashback, she thought it would be fun to join the light music club instead.

Her voice actress is Minako Kotobuki (Japanese) and Shelby Lindley (English).
Tsumugi, more known as "Mugi" is the gentle and sweet keyboardist of the club. Mugi is a wealthy girl who has a sweet and gentle personality. Mugi is considered a piano prodigy since she was four and has experience winning in piano contests. She is the daughter of a company president, and her family has several villas in various places around Japan (and even one in Finland, much to Ritsu, Azusa and Ui's surprise when they try to contact her at home). She often brings sweets and confectioneries to her friends. The tea set and the tea which they drink often are unusually high in price.
Although she is a sweet and gentle girl, she is often weirdly entranced by the sight of two girls interacting closely together, sometimes imagining something more risque in her head (both Mio and Ritsu find this awkward at times). She originally intended to join the choir club, but joins the light music club instead after receiving an invitation and encouragement from both Mio and Ritsu. Mugi displays a rebellious streak occasionally, due to her wanting to deviate from her wealthy nature, and diverts from a well-behaved and mature demeanor to the surprise of others. She also has a habit of getting a little too enthusiastic about experiencing new things that the others take for granted (such as ordering fast food, eating yakisoba at a festival, and purposely provoking Mio to hit her).
Despite her being wealthy, she also tries her hand at a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant. While a lot of things do not bother her, she is fairly conscious about her weight (just like Mio), and she gets a bit anxious when her family's staff start spoiling her friends during villa visits.
Appearance
Mugi has long, wavy blonde hair and sapphire-blue eyes, and she has a very fair complexion that the other girls don't have, that could lead to her being of European decent. She appears to have very thick brown eyebrows that Yui likes to call a "pickled radish."
Attires
Skirts over pants. High society lady styles, such as elegant one piece dresses.

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled
(コードギアス 亡国のアキト, Kōdo Giasu Bōkoku no Akito) is a theatrical OVA. It was officially announced in the bonus materials of Code Geass: The Miraculous Birthday. The new theatrical OVA is directed by Kazuki Akane (Tenkuu no Escaflowne, Noein: Mou Hitori no Kimi e) and once again features original character designs by CLAMP. The story occurs between seasons one and two of Code Geass.

The side story takes place in 2017 a.t.b., between the rise of the “Black Knights” organization and the return of the supposedly "dead" Zero. The setting is in Europe, where the European Union (E.U.) allied nations are being invaded by the overwhelming forces of the Holy Britannian Empire. On the verge of defeat, the E.U. army forms a special unit known as “W-0″, of which a young pilot named Akito Hyuga is a member. Leila Malkal , a former Britannian Aristocrat comes to the E.U.'s aid, commanding the “Wyvern” Knightmare corps comprised of Japanese teenagers. They recklessly plunge into a battlefield, where the survival rate is extremely low, at about 5% only. They fight for their freedom and for a "home" to which they can return.
